Is This the Year for the Cardinals?

The St. Louis Cardinals are on a dizzying path to the playoffs and, hopefully, to the World Series. For the first time in a few years, the front office has coughed up the money to snap up treasures in Matt Holliday and Mark DeRosa. They’ve kept an eye out for deals and managed to get Julio Lugo from the Red Sox and then John Smoltz too. Lugo and Smoltz were basically treated as discards by the Red Sox but they have been a terrific boost to the Cardinals. My favorite player, Ryan Ludwick, has had kind of a rough season since he suffered an injury in mid-May and then didn’t take any rehab starts in Memphis so he basically was trying to come back from the injury while with the big club. He had a stellar break-out season last year and hasn’t quite managed to reach those heights this season but should still get a pretty good deal in arbitration. I like him because he embodies the phrase “hard worker” and appears to be a good person and respected teammate. He’s never made excuses for sub-par performances. Albert Pujols is regarded as the best baseball player on the planet and is always mentioned as a candidate for various awards and breaking records. Currently he is in a slight slump but he always manages to come out of them at convenient times. I’m hoping the Cardinals go all the way this year and take it all. It’s been three years since their last World Series win so it’s been long enough!

Cruising is the Only Way to Vacation

Karen at our Ship on Cozumel

My husband and I spent our last vacation on a Carnival Cruise in the Caribbean. I must say, that for us taking a cruise is by far the best way to vacation. It is a vacation where you can visit numerous places and have the same hotel room the entire time. You can find things to do and eat at all hours. We were on board the Carnival Conquest and loved every minute of our trip. From the at sea days activities such as lying by the pool and scavenger hunts to our various days at port. Probably the highlight of our vacation was the stop at Georgetown Grand Cayman Island. There we booked a tour that took us to a turtle farm with large sea turtles and then out to the sandbank where we swam with the stingrays. They are beautiful intriguing creatures. We also enjoyed one of the other ports being in Cozumel where we took a speed boat out to an island and spent the day lounging on the beach. It was both a relaxing and refreshing getaway. We ate wonderful food, enjoyed the soothing motion and sound of the ocean, and explored the various ports. There is no other vacation like a cruise!

The College Routine

October 24th, 2009

I am a college student so I have to reach college on time to attend my lectures. So I wake up early in the morning and get ready for college, then have my breakfast and leave for college. Till 5pm I am in the college and then finished with my college and return back to home. Whole day study, roaming and all fun makes me tired, so I take some rest by listening soft music. As I am health conscious so first I go for jogging and then to gym for work out. After that I take my protein diet which is necessary to me. Then I go to home, spend some time with my family…we talk about that what we did whole day and by continuing the chat we have dinner. Now its time to go bed as it’s too late. Like this whole day spends and I am ready for the next day task.

The Magic of Craigslist

October 20th, 2009

Last weekend, I discovered the magic of Craigslist. The magic, the possibility, the everything, lies in the ‘Free’ section where every average American who so desires can give away free materials to there fellow citizen. Until this weekend, I had no idea that such an opportunity exists. I saw refrigerators, microwaves, scrap metal, and the all important category of books. Books excite me; the possibilities within them excite me. And last weekend a lady was giving away 20 boxes of them. I drove 30 minutes to a small town on the edge of other small towns; this place was country. The lady lived in a house far off the beaten track…in fact, off paved roads altogether. She was kind and explained that she had built her collection over two decades and simply didn’t have any room for them. Therein was the opportunity. I relieved her of her books and, heading back to my apartment loaded down with 20 boxes of new books, I smiled at a newfound opportunity and the generosity of others.

The best way to search for a home…

October 16th, 2009

The internet is a relatively new invention. As such, new things come out for it every day. People can now purchase things online, make money online and do business online. You name it and it’s possible!

Real estate is one of the biggest things that the internet can now help you find. Homes are listed online all the time. Take Automated Homefinder, for example. They are the best realty company in CO! People know that since so many people rely on the internet for their business, listing their home online is a good idea. Plus you, as the buyer, get an advantage because people tend to list their houses at a lower price online than they do in person.

One bad thing about the internet is the fact that it’s almost completely unregulated. That means that you, if you are a novice to the internet and its workings, need to be careful when you go online. There are number of spyware and scams that you can easily run into. Even more advanced people find their computers can slow down when they visit “bad” sites. So be careful!

However, at the same time you also need to get out there and explore! How to locate the best home finder then? Some sites are oh so much better than others when it comes to certain things. If at first you don’t succeed, try again. One search on Google just doesn’t cut it all the time, search again and again! You’ll find that, by using different keywords and mixing them up, you’ll get different results every time you search Google.

If you’re looking for a home, then online is the place to be. As mentioned earlier, houses are generally cheaper online and you have a great variety of homes that you can look through. No longer do you actually have to visit the site of your home, with a home finder you can just look for it online. If you live on the west coast and are trying to buy a house over on the east coast, flying over there to look is a bit unreasonable. Just look online and you’ll be taken to the east coast in a matter of seconds!

Good Deeds Do Not Go Unrewarded

Says Who?!?! After a normal day at work, I headed out the door for an evening run. The run was uneventful, until I turned onto my block and noticed three little kittens playing in a neighbor’s yard. A sucker for animals, I stopped and called to them. To my surprise, the little black kitten came playfully bouncing through the tall grass towards me! It showed no fear and allowed me to gently pick it up. The kittens were obviously strays, thin and dirty. After checking to make sure that they were okay, I put the little black kitten down and attempted to cross the street to my house. Immediately, it came bouncing after me and jumped right into the street! We played this back and forth game until I finally gave up and carried the kitten to my yard while I pondered what to do with my new friend. After nearly half an hour of worrying over this kitten and what I should do with it, I finally decided to call Animal Control. I didn’t have long to wait, and they kindly took the kitten from me and inspected it. After a casual glance at its fur, the man informed me that I should be on the lookout for ringworm, as the kitten had some fur loss! They say good deeds do not go unrewarded, but can I really consider ringworm a reward?!?!

My awesome kids

October 11th, 2009

Ohh, the day has come September 16, 2005, when one angel was brought by our God to earth…And that little angel is my very first son, named RAVEN CHRIZ… When this little angel comes to our lives of my beloved wife, we suddenly feel blessed and honored… Because this little child bring us smile every time we arrived from work and we see his lovely cute little face… and every time people sees his face, they keep on saying that he look like the son of our GOD named sto.nino, because he have that pretty face, curly hair, eyes like Barbie doll and the very lovely cute red lips and they always keep on admiring him. Every time he sings I feel so proud because he sings wonderful he might not memorize the lyrics he knows the tune of the song he was singing.

Freedom and Flexibility of Self-Employment

Misleading Customer Service Kills Your Business

I love the flexibility and freedom of self-employment. Currently, I work as a customer service agent, in sales, independently contracted, through a company to bring revenue and sales to various clients. The freedom and flexibility that being self-employed brings is exhilarating. There are no time clocks to punch, I work when I wish, and generate as much income as I would like for my home based business daily. Honestly, truth be told, there are down times and up times to being a self-employed business owner. Because I am in a position of sales, and what drives sales is customers and money, sometimes the revenue does not generate for the client or the business owner when the economy is not doing well. As a business owner, I also may feel the crunch of the hardships of consumers not buying products because of hardships they may be experiencing. However, being a self-employed business owner gives me the power to generate the income that I need to keep my home based business at the top working the hours and days that work best for me.

What the Heck is a Cake Wreck?

October 6th, 2009

Cake can and is eaten on pretty much every occasion you can think of, and some you can’t. There are always those beautiful cakes that look too good to be eaten. Not in the case of this website though. Cake wrecks is a blog dedicated to finding, horrible, ugly and down right cakes that make you wonder what the heck the decorator was thinking. The blog is updated every day, and every day is different. Each day has a set of related cakes that are wrecked. Some you can’t even tell what they are. For example, one day was baby shower cakes. Some were ugly as sin, others you had to squint to see what it was, and another, a cake that was supposed to resemble a baby was down right creepy. It’s not all bad though, every Sunday is called “Sunday Sweets”. This is the day dedicated to awesome, wonderful cakes. That look amazing, they are again all related in the post. One of my favorite Sunday Sweets was the fairy tales one. Pictures of beautiful cakes that looked like dragons and castles, and adorable fairies. The owner of the blog is very amusing with her comments, and makes you laugh every time. She is not ever down right mean, and keeps the humor light. Cake Wrecks only mocks cakes that are actually paid for, meaning (usually) no homemade cakes. It is a great site I visit every day, and it never fails to amuse. If you like cake, or just want to look at something that makes you laugh, please visit, cakewrecks.blogspot.com.

Investing in Colorado real estate

October 4th, 2009

Homes are the biggest and most important thing that you are ever going to buy. Maybe you’re super rich and are going to buy a Boeing 747, but for the most part my last statement holds true. With this great purchase comes great responsibility. Your home becomes your biggest investment when you buy it. Investments are when you put money into something hoping to get even more out later on. This is what homes do, you buy a home for 100 grand and then in 20 years time they are usually worth 1.5-2 times the amount than you originally purchased them for. So what does all this mean? You need to make sure that the home you buy is at its cheapest and is a great home that holds your future inside it.

One of the best ways to do this is through an automated home finder system. With one of those babies you barely have to do any work. All you need is a little bit of information and bam. You’re email is going to be bombarded by homes that fit all of your specifications. Now you can make a truly informed choice when it comes to buying your house.

There might be a possibility that your house actually goes down in value over time. This isn’t a huge possibility; however, as the general trend is as houses get older, they get more valuable. It seems rather paradoxical to think that as something gets older, it gets more valuable. However, it certainly holds true for houses. One of the biggest reasons houses get more valuable as they age is because the dollar bill buys less as time goes on. Try buying a full size candy bar for a nickel at your local grocery store and see what you get. The cashier is going to look at you like you’re crazy! But if you were to teleport 50 years in the past, that nickel would buy you a full size candy bar and more. The same logic and math applies to your house. So buy now and invest for the future!
