Let’s face it, not everyone has an exciting life. We don’t all get to have an amazing day every day. Most days are just tedious and boring. My day to day life may seem rather boring to people, but I love my life. I wake up between ten and ten thirty am, take my shower, grab some kind of snack and a soda, and power up the laptop. Turn the TV on, usually cartoons, or some kind of comedy. I check my usual sites, and email. Surf the web for a bit, and then log onto my forums. Around noon or one, I throw on Lunch. Which differs pretty much every single day? At this time my dog is usually glued to my hip, waiting for food to drop, or for me to give him some scraps. After lunch I go back to my computer, and begin taking surveys or coming onto different websites, and start job hunting. At five thirty, my dad comes home; around six is dinner, which is fending for you, so once again I cook. After dinner I feed my dog his dinner, and sometimes play video-games, or get back on my laptop. The rest of the night is a mash-up of different things, until eight thirty. At this time, I am in my room, and I power up my desktop computer, and chat with my online friends, and once again and doing a few things to make some spare change online. The TV is usually on, just for background noise, or I have iTunes up. I chat usually until one am, and then power everything down, brush my teeth and wash my face and crawl into bed. Where I usually read my Kindle for an hour, and then finally go to sleep. That is my usual day, and sometimes there are chores, sometimes not. But everyday is fun, and busy.

I have been working non-stop for about three months and so looking forward to this hunting trip. I am looking forward to not doing nothing the whole weekend. By Thursday, my in-laws decided to join with me and my husband. As much as I wanted to say no, my husband persuades me to say yes. So, here we are in the lodge on Friday night. We found out the lodge is not big at all, only one bathroom and one room. We end up staying in the same room. The next day we went to town because my in-law did not want to stay still. The next day there she is again; we went to mountain where we encountered with black bear. All my in-law talk about is recessing and getting old. Very depressing. So we decided to depart with them but they decided to come with us. I have never been so glad that the weekend was finally over.

First on the list was the baby beagle Dixie needed a bath. My husband bought Dixie for me in April when my 12 year old Golden Retriever had to be put to sleep because she had a brain tumor. I started off giving Dixie a bath in the shower. I had her all soaped up with dog shampoo and ready to rinse her off. She decides to bolt and run under my bed and hide. I had to get her out from under the bed and rinsed off, so I asked her if she wanted a biscuit (dog treat). She always runs to me for treats. She did come to me and I rinsed her off and then blow dried her. I started laundry and am washing the bed sheets. My body screams for me to just stop and rest, so I come to my laptop, sit down for a bit to see if there work to do. I am new at this and not very good at it yet. My husband and I thought that if I could work on random jobs, I can bring in a few bucks to put towards our retirement.

I go to one of the local casinos in Biloxi, MS or with a group of friends from work. I really enjoy this for a lot of reasons, but the two main reasons are there’s nothing sweeter than money won, and I love the gamesmanship of trying to outthink your opponent. The most popular game today of course is Texas Hold ‘em, but I play a lot of the games such as 7-card stud, Omaha 8 or better, etc. The poker boom has created tons of interest and lots of action in the poker rooms across America. Honestly, when I travel for work, I can always find a game. There are so many nuances to the game such as value betting, bluffing, reading your opponents, stealing pots, re-stealing pots, etc. That’s what makes poker unique, while you can play the same game for years; it’s never really the same game. It’s a great way to spend time with your friends. We have local poker tournaments and clubs with actual seasons. All of the information listed above is why Poker is my favorite hobby.

I’m an engineer in the aerospace industry and the office dress code is business casual, but skews a little more towards “casual.” Generally, I like to dress up a little bit from the average so that I present a professional image. I also live in a hot climate, so I need to dress appropriately for the weather. I chose tan linen pants with a loose leg. This pant choice suited the climate (southern California during the summer) while maintaining a professional image. On top, I wore a navy blue tank top. To keep the look on the conservative side, I topped the outfit with a black cardigan. Additionally, I wore black sandals with a stacked wooden sole. The slightly heavier shoes balance out the weight of the pants. I tend to keep accessories simple, so I chose some simple silver earrings I found in western Ireland while on vacation.

My mom made these delicious tacos. She first boils Idaho potatoes than mashes them. In order to make the taco she puts the potato mixed with mozzarella cheese inside a corn tortilla. The corn tortilla is folded as if it was a quesadilla and is fried until the tortilla is brown and crispy. You do not need a deep fryer a simple pan will work. After they are fried my mom lets them cool. While the tacos are cooling lettuce, tomatoes, and onions are cut. They are stuffed in to the tacos. They are served with homemade salsa. This is a delicious vegetarian dish. It is probably high in fat but biting into these delicious tacos made my night. My brother eats them as if they were hash browns with ketchup instead of the tomatoes and salsa. What I like about these tacos is that they inexpensive and easy to make. The salsa is also pretty easy to make just a couple of tomatoes and Serrano chilies. With some lemonade or any drink they make a great meal.

If my professors and friends can be believed, I’m a very good writer who has a good chance of being published at some point. I’m inclined to believe them because the friends I show my writing to are the friends who are well-read and know how to express themselves in an intelligent, literate manner and my professors aren’t in the business of flattering egos and going easy on you for fear of bruising your self-esteem. I’ve been writing since I was fourteen, and after sixteen years of practice and making an effort to apply what I’ve learned about becoming a better writer I’ve polished up my skills enough that I can write circles around more than a few other popular authors and considering how much better my writing is than some currently popular young adult authors I’d like to think my chances of being published are very good. Having ADHD, there’s always a surplus of energy that needs to go somewhere, especially when I’m sitting down and need to stay still (and being an adult involves a lot of having to sit quietly for long periods of time, unfortunately). To keep from driving those around me nuts with my fidgeting, I knit, crochet, and cross stitch and tend to get lots of compliments on my work. At the moment, I’m working on taking pictures of some of what I’ve done and I’m going to be putting it up for sale on Etsy in the near future.

My parents rented a recreational vehicle and the four of us packed up a small portion of our belongings for a 5 week cross-country trip. We were really excited and we planned everything that we would do before we left Massachusetts. On the way however, we relaxed from our itinerary and we went to do or see any local attraction that sounded good to us at the time. One of the best tools we had was a KOA catalog where we could roam pretty much where we pleased without fear of trying to find a campsite. Having a laptop with wifi connection is good but there are plenty of gaps out there and it’s best to have a hard copy of something as a backup. We did go to every state except Oregon and Washington. After the second week of the vacation it got a bit rough with us being crammed into the smaller living space, but after a few days it wore off and we enjoyed the vacation.

Yep these are my kids oldest one is 26 and just graduated college in anthropology and works at a drug store I don’t know if she is going to use it but it’s what she liked and graduated from she says she wants to go for her masters in year from now and she’d like to go teach at the community college. The second is 19 she works at another drug store we went to Mexico this July together and loved it I went to go visit family so it was a fantastic time. She moved out before we went on our trip I thought she was going to back out because she was concentrating on her moving out than on her trip I certainly wasn’t going to waist all that money. She comes to eat supper on her break which is a minute from here so it’s not bad Eric my youngest is always playing video games he will be 15 this Saturday but every time a holiday such as Christmas or his birthday he always thinks up things that he wants and it’s always impossible to get! But for reason we always get it for him I know he’s the baby. This time he wants a lap top my husband works a pawn shop and he can get deals but he said it’s hard to tell this time. my son is the type where everything is in his room has to be in order or he’ll go nuts it doesn’t’ have to be clean just pick up and in order when I fold his clothes and put them in his room, he stops what he is doing and go put up his clothes I couldn’t ask for more than that he does that in the living room too when something isn’t right he goes to fix it.

My current occupation is teaching my grandchildren all the wonders of country life. We spend our days exploring the woods, learning about trees, bugs, rocks, and going fishing, camping, collecting berries for the freezer, raising a garden and canning the vegetables. I teach them the different species of trees and wood, what is best for a pretty fire and what is best for a cooking fire, and then we gather wood and cook our meals over the fire. They learn how to catch fish and clean them, what animal’s tracks look like, and what area different animals like to live in. They make sculptures out of clay with their hands; build sand castles and tree forts. The summer days include learning to swim in a pond, canoeing, and walking in a creek. In the winter we fill birdfeeders, go sledding, and build snow sculptures. This is the most enjoyable job I have ever had and I am paid to do it. I won’t get rich this way, but the long term rewards are worth every minute I spend with the children.
