I live in Ooty. This is my home town. I like to live my whole life in Ooty. This is because the place is very cool to live in. I need not use a refrigerator or a fan or an air conditioner here. There will be a slight snow fall every morning and a mist covered time every evening. In any other place we can go out only with a shirt or a t-shirt. But I can use a jerk all the time. I can always wear a show and even wear caps and other dress materials which keep me safe from cold. I can use food materials which are too hot also. In that climate that hot food will be like a delicious dish we like. More than this all the days are short here and the nights are long. Due to long and cool nights I can sleep for a long time with two to three blankets on me.

Ooty is my best place to live in
June 24th, 2010Feeling the heat, cooling off in the rain
June 22nd, 2010Last weekend my husband and I took our boys, ages one and two, to the local race track. It had been a hot week, and an even hotter weekend. Temperatures were in the 90 degree range, and we were looking for a way to stay cool but get out of the house (we are so happy to have air conditioning). There had been rain in the latter part of the week, but it had looked like it was going to stay dry for the evening. The kids love racecars, so we piled ourselves in the minivan and off to the races we went! The rain earlier in the week had made the dirt track just perfect for racing. The boys sat so nicely like content little men through the whole night. There were only two races left to finish off the night and it began to rain. A light shower fell for only about three minutes, but they ended the race program. We were all disappointed that it ended early, but at least the rain had cooled us off a bit. We all slept great that night.
My Day, a Life with RA and a Beagle

I’m here to tell you about my day. I have rheumatoid arthritis; it is an autoimmune disease where the body attacks itself. With “RA” come the stiffness, pain, fever, and fatigue along with other symptoms. When I wake up in the morning, I get up slowly because my body doesn’t want to move. I’ve had this disease since 1992, so it’s no stranger to me. I’ve learned how to adjust with medications that help suppress my immune system, which helps my body to fight the RA. Today I really did not feel like getting out of bed. I have 2 beagles and a German shepherd. Today they wanted to sleep in too (for a change). I decided to get up and start the day, thinking of things I needed or wanted to do. I’ve always been a stay at home mom, and there are no benefits for us stay at home moms for the future. Well, my break is over, back to work.
Shopping Can Be Fun
June 14th, 2010I like to make shopping an experience, which for me means that I exercise my hunter/gatherer skills. What fun is there in paying full retail? That’s why I usually don’t shop for clothing when I desperately need something. I make it a recreational activity, touching everything to get the feel of fabrics and such and comparing prices. I can look around a lot and never buy anything. Then when I find something I really like that’s also a bargain, I recognize that and I grab it. Lately thrift stores have become fun for me. There’s a Goodwill Store in Phoenixville, PA that has gently worn clothing that’s often excellent for a very small price. Of course, you have to wander and pick and choose, which is part of my recreational approach to shopping. We have a consignment shop here in Narberth that also offers that opportunity on a higher scale and for more money but also fun. For food, I like Trader Joe’s because they make it an experience. Prices are usually better than other places and by reading the labels you find many things that have less sugar and are less processed. The decor is creative, too, and the people are friendly. There’s a tasting station in the back where a meal is put into little cups for you to try and the recipes are yours to take.
A Movie to Remember

One of the nicest movies I’ve ever seen is the movie entitled “Sex and The City“. It already belongs to my million favorites when speaking about movies. It may sounds bad or something or whatever you call it but the true essence of this movie, I mean the story, is very beautiful especially if you really understand the whole story. This is a movie the grown-ups would really enjoy. I said grown-ups because this movie is for adults only and not for small kids or little ones. “Sex and The City” tell us about relationships between a man and a woman such as boyfriend-girlfriend and husband-wife, a relationship inside a family and also a relationship between friends. A very nice lesson I’ve learned in the movie “Sex and The City” is that a very grand and wonderful wedding is futile when love and trust, the most basic ingredients in marriage is not strong. The suppose-to-be wedding of the two main actress and actor here is so glamorous since they are rich and famous in the story. Five minutes before the wedding, the groom’s mind changed until everything was so complicated and made the wedding canceled. At the end of the story, they just had a very simple wedding but their relationship is already stronger than ever.

Music will never Die-out
June 7th, 2010People hire big bands and dance bands for large weddings and parties. Small jazz combos can be found in clubs, restaurants and bars. Pit orchestras just make a great performance of a musical. Brass ensembles can be seen at graduations, small parties, weddings and other gatherings. Small and large ensembles perform at many outdoor functions such as markets, festivals and celebrations. Churches frequently enhance their worship with trumpet music. All in all, the trumpet is one of the better choices for anyone who wishes to keep their playing options open, and who wants a multitude of various opportunities for playing music. Multiple skills can be learned and utilized depending on the venue. Double and triple tonguing, jazz improvisation, upper register skills, music transposition, music interpretation, tone quality, tuning, articulation and general musical knowledge are all excellent skills to learn and broaden brainpower with use. Although all of the other instruments are important, trumpet appears to be one of the most rewarding for many different reasons.
Last Night’s Dinners Foraged From the Weekend
June 2nd, 2010Last night for dinner I made meatloaf sandwiches, out of the meat loaf I made on Saturday, and chicken soup out of the chicken I roasted on Sunday. The meat loaf was on the spicy side, as I made it with cayenne pepper and onions. It was solid so it sliced up very nicely. I’ve never made meatloaf sandwiches before, so I wasn’t sure, I made them with cream cheese, but my boyfriend preferred ketchup. The chicken soup came out quite nicely, as I had stuffed the skin of the chicken with sliced garlic and onions before I baked it on Sunday. I added brown rice, carrots, turnips and parsnips to the soup as well, and they all came out very tender. Since it all had a bit of spice to it, we had a beer alongside as well.

My Usual Day
May 31st, 2010My usual day normally consists of the same things every day. I get up around 6am every day, I then take my shower, brush my teeth, and go outside to get the newspaper. I put on a pot of coffee and while it is brewing I make my breakfast. My breakfast almost always consists of a bagel, or waffles or pancakes. I then take my breakfast and coffee and go to the kitchen table to eat and read the morning paper. My miniature pug also always helps me eat my breakfast! After eating breakfast I clean everything up and head out the door to work. For the next eight hours you can find me at a desk scheduling appointments to see a doctor. After work I drive home. When I arrive home I prepare dinner for the husband and kids. After dinner I then do the dishes, and settle onto the couch for an evening of reading or watching TV. After a few hours I take myself to bed, and get all the rest I need for the next day to begin!
James Patterson, My Favorite Author
May 28th, 2010
- Cover of 1st to Die (The Women’s Murder Club)
My favorite author is a man by the name of James Patterson. I have read many books by this man and I don’t think I have found even one book by him that I don’t like. He has written many favorite books such as Jack and Jill, The Beach House, 1St to Die, Along came a spider and many more. His stories are fiction, but they will have you feeling like you’re a character in the book yourself. His books always receive great reviews, as I’m sure many of you have heard of James Patterson. The books almost always have to do with crime, and people dying. If you’re into those types of books James Patterson is an excellent author and choice to read. From the moment you begin reading he will have you feeling like you don’t want to put his books down. They do become very addicting. These are the many reasons why he is my favorite author!

I was born in the city of Mumbai which has number of beaches like juhu, gorai etc. The people of Mumbai come from diverse backgrounds as people from all over India come there in search of jobs .There is a saying in Mumbai if you can have a job, a wife but never a house as getting a house is costly. All festivals are celebrated in Mumbai are celebrated with equal relevance and gusto. I f you are able to sustain in Mumbai you can get adapted in any part of the world. The spirit of Mumbai is such that as soon as the bomb blast the very next day people came back to work, you can harm Mumbai but you cannot kill it because harming is a temporary phenomenon as wounds will get healed. The city respects all faiths as you have the mahalaxmi and you have haji ally nearby which are both very old pace of worship. Mumbai is connected by a network of railways that criss cross all over the city starting from Victoria terminus to panvel and from churchgate to bororivili .the city never sleeps the last local is at 1.45 pm and the first local is at 4.00 am you get to taste different foods in Mumbai and if are foody you had it . A truly cosmopolitan city in a true sense.
