My favorite author is Dame Agatha Christie. I have read all of her books and most of them more than once because I am fascinated by the process she uses to solve her crimes. The amazing part of all of it, to me, is that the clues are there for you to read and solve if you will only be observant enough to read them clearly. Often just the merest turn of a phrase is the answer to the whole puzzle. And that’s how I have always viewed her books- as a wonderfully delightful puzzle to solve while enjoying the journey to the end. There have been times when I have solved the crime and come up with the right reasons and identified the proper clues. It’s not enough to just guess at the perpetrator, I feel you have to use Dame Agatha’s reasoning as well. I am most fond of Miss Marple although I do enjoy the prissy Hercule Poirot as well. I wish she had written more of her fascinating couple, Tommy and Tuppence. I cannot think of one single book that is my all-time favorite but I did love the idea that she had written endings for both her main characters long before she died so that they could be finished off after her death.
