I love to shop at local thrift stores. By purchasing clothes at these places, I know I am supporting a local business and helping my town’s economy, rather than supporting big businesses whose products may not even be made in the United States. When shopping at a store like the Salvation Army or Goodwill, I also have the satisfaction of knowing that my purchase is helping out people in need. Buying used clothing also allows me to have a wardrobe that is unique and does not have to follow all the latest fashions in department stores. I have gotten so many compliments on the outfits that I buy at thrift stores!
