My last vacation I went to Taiwan with my family. It was my first time back ever since I left. Our first stop was Taipei 101. In order to get there, we walked to the rapid transmit which isn’t very far from uncle’s house. The rapid transmit was my favorite transportation. It can go nearly anywhere in Taipei, which is the capital of Taiwan. It’s like a subway except that it is above ground. I love it because it’s so fast, convenient, and comfortable as well. It was a smooth ride unlike traditional train rides which are unstable. After switching our ride five times on the rapid transmits, we were there. The next day, we went to the National Palace Museum which was another one of my favorite places that I visited. It is full of historical items such as bronze dinner ware, tools, and statues, jade jewelry and vases, and the one that fascinated me the most was the ivory baskets. They were both made with such care. They’re very white and extremely detailed. The ivory was made very thin on the baskets with precisely carved designs. I could see every design as if it were just made. I never thought I would enjoy a museum that much.
